Research in this area is underfunded, and public understanding of the personal, economic and social impacts are low. This Pain Roadmap (the first of its kind), seeks to draw clarity around scientific, clinical and patient-led advances needed. It shows where innovations are required to reduce the burden of pain on the individual and society.
